About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Programming and Data Services to lead our Information Technology Department. This pivotal role involves overseeing a team responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software applications. The manager will support data integration, reporting, and analytics initiatives, establish development standards, and ensure quality processes are adhered to across all projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with leadership capabilities, enabling them to guide their team through complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions that align with business goals. Hands-on coding, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic planning are integral components of this role, which offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technological direction of NFR.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience managing programming, development, and data teams, along with at least ten years of comprehensive software development experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is required. Proven management skills, including team leadership, project management, and strategic planning, are essential. Technical expertise should include proficiency in SQL and relational data modeling, Microsoft .NET technologies such as C#, ASP.NET Core, and REST APIs, as well as experience with Azure cloud solutions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD automation. Familiarity with enterprise application and API integrations, AI-enabled applications, and automation solutions is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a solid foundation in software architecture, object-oriented design, Agile methodologies, security best practices, debugging, and modern software engineering practices. Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary to manage multiple priorities effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Programming and Data Services team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise software applications.
Support data integration, reporting, and analytics initiatives to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Establish and enforce development standards, coding best practices, and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform hands-on coding and technical troubleshooting as needed to ensure project success.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet organizational goals.
Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions such as AI, machine learning, and cloud services.
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all development activities.
Coordinate with other IT teams and external vendors to facilitate seamless system integrations and upgrades.
