Role Description The Vice President of Technology is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision, execution, and delivery across Matrixport-NY. This role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology platforms, ensuring they meet business goals for performance, security, and scalability. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding IT strategy, supervising technology teams, prioritizing projects, and aligning technical initiatives with organizational objectives. The Vice President of Technology partners with senior leadership to drive strategic planning, evaluate emerging technologies, manage vendor relationships, and optimize resource allocation. This position also ensures strong governance, risk management, and compliance practices within the technology function while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, evaluate technology performance, and support informed decision-making.
Deep experience in Information Technology, including infrastructure, applications, cloud services, and security best practices.
Proven ability to define and execute IT Strategy that aligns technology investments with organizational goals.
Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, including leading cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and delivering projects on budget.
Expertise in Strategic Planning, with a track record of building long-term technology roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
Leadership experience in senior technology roles, ideally at the Director or VP level, with responsibility for multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in fintech, digital assets, or other highly regulated technology sectors is a plus.
