Role Description The VP of Business Process Management is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, improving, and overseeing financial and operational workflows across the organization. This role will lead initiatives to streamline processes related to bookkeeping, financial reporting, A/P, A/R, and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The VP will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze current practices, identify gaps, and implement scalable solutions and best practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing process improvement projects, defining performance metrics, guiding change management activities, and supporting the integration of technology tools such as QuickBooks and other financial systems. The role also involves mentoring team members, aligning business processes with strategic goals, and contributing to client satisfaction through consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate existing processes, interpret financial and operational data, and make data-informed recommendations.
Candidates should possess Finance expertise, including familiarity with bookkeeping practices, financial statements, A/P, A/R, and bank reconciliation.
Candidates should possess Business Analysis skills to map workflows, document requirements, and translate business needs into process improvements.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor process improvement initiatives, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
Candidates should possess Sales and commercial acumen to understand client needs, support growth initiatives, and align processes with revenue objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) are beneficial.
Demonstrated leadership experience in process management or operations, preferably in a financial services or accounting environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting and lead cross-functional teams.
Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks and comfort with implementing new systems or tools to support process optimization.
