Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Anodising Plant Operator to join our production team at the Jaipur facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the chemical anodising process for our aluminum craft products (knitting needles, crochet hooks, and metal components). You will ensure uniform color, protective coating, and superior surface finish while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Execution & Operations
Set up, operate, and maintain chemical tanks for etching, desmutting, anodising, dyeing, and sealing processes.
Calculate and adjust bath parameters (voltages, current density, bath temperatures, immersion times, and chemical concentrations) based on batch specifications.
Load and rack metal parts onto anodising jigs to optimize current density and ensure consistent coverage.
Perform vibrant and consistent color dyeing according to KnitPro's aesthetic and quality guidelines.
Quality Control & Testing
Inspect finished parts for coating thickness, shade consistency, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and surface defects (e.g., pits, burning, color variance).
Conduct basic chemical titration and bath monitoring to ensure solutions remain within operational parameters.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to minimize scrap rates and rework.
Equipment Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine preventative maintenance on tanks, rectifiers, chillers, agitators, and filtration systems.
Safely store, handle, and dispose of hazardous chemicals in accordance with factory safety guidelines and state environmental regulations.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and adhere to safe work practices in the wet processing area.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: ITI (Electroplating / Chemical / Mechanical) or Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Surface Coating Technology.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in aluminum anodising (color anodising preferred).
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of bath chemistry, sulfuric acid anodising (Type II), color dyeing, and hot water sealing.
Familiarity with anodising rectifiers, chillers, and chemical filtration units.
Experience handling delicate aluminum parts requiring high aesthetic appeal.
Competencies: Strong attention to detail, commitment to workplace safety, and ability to work shifts in a manufacturing environment.

Product Quality: Rejection and rework rate below company targets.
Process Efficiency: Adherence to standard production schedules and batch cycle times.
Chemical Safety: Zero safety incidents and compliant chemical handling.
