Role Description The Information Technology Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada, responsible for overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and applications that support immigration consulting services. This role involves managing network and server operations, monitoring system performance, and ensuring data security, backups, and compliance with relevant regulations. The IT Manager will plan and implement technology projects, coordinate with external vendors, and supervise IT support activities, including resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining business-critical applications, optimizing workflows, documenting IT procedures, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve technology tools and processes. The individual will collaborate closely with management and operational teams to align IT initiatives with business goals and provide training and guidance on new systems or upgrades.
Qualifications
Strong skills in IT infrastructure and systems management, including networks, servers, operating systems, and cloud-based tools.
Experience with data security, backups, user access controls, and compliance-related IT practices.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues and providing timely technical support to internal teams.
Ability to manage IT projects, coordinate with vendors, and implement new applications or system upgrades.
Familiarity with CRM or case-management systems, ideally in a professional services or consulting environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities, including translating technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical users.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL, Microsoft, or cloud certifications) are an advantage.
Previous experience in an IT management or senior IT support role; exposure to immigration, legal, or service-based industries is beneficial.
