Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Automation Tester role based in Bengaluru. The Senior Automation Tester will design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts for web, mobile, and API-based applications, ensuring high reliability and performance. The role involves collaborating with product owners, developers, and QA teams to understand requirements, define test strategies, and implement end-to-end automated test coverage. The tester will analyze test results, identify defects, work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues, and continuously improve automation coverage, test data management, and execution efficiency. Responsibilities also include integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preparing test documentation and reports, mentoring junior testers, and promoting best practices in quality engineering and test automation across projects.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong test automation skills, including experience with modern automation frameworks, scripting languages (such as Java, Python, or JavaScript), and tools for web, mobile, and API testing.
Candidates should possess solid quality engineering and testing skills, such as test planning, test case design, regression testing, performance testing fundamentals, and defect management.
Candidates should possess CI/CD and DevOps-related skills, including integrating automated tests into build pipelines, working with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps, and managing version control with Git.
Candidates should possess strong analysis and collaboration skills, including requirements analysis, risk-based testing, documentation of test results, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Candidates should possess relevant domain and technical skills, such as experience in enterprise applications, cloud-based solutions, and familiarity with security and scalability considerations in testing.
Several years of professional experience in automation testing, including senior-level responsibility and ownership of test automation strategy, are highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
