Job Context & Major Challenges
Major Challenges: Timely collect the data from units, analyse and keep it up-to-date at 100% accuracy level by managing different time zones and language barriers between Canada and India.
Key Result Areas

KRA1 1. To analyze the performance of the Pulp Units and support/help in further improving their performance.
Monitor on daily, weekly and monthly basis the actual unit’s results versus the planned & budgeted.
Assimilate various benchmarks w.r.t. Pulp Operations, Costs, etc to identify differences and take corrective actions to bridge the gaps
KRA2 2. Support management with multiple and various data points, presentations and reports as and when required
To analyze various monthly MIS, including Monthly Business Report, Forex Statement, Borrowing Statement, Surplus Statement, Oil Hedging Report etc., and consolidate the same for reporting to the Management.
To prepare and consolidate quarterly performance for presentation to the Business Review Council.
To deep dive and benchmark performance of the Pulp Units for presentation to the Ex-Com in the monthly meeting.
To review and vet the capex proposal including support in preparation of Capex Proposal for the Capex BRC.
Supporting in ideating of strategic initiatives & action plans laid out by the senior management to address issues & challenges on the way forward.
KRA3 3. To participate in Annual Planning & Budgeting meets
To actively participate in the annual Planning & Budgeting Process covering all areas like – production, revenue, cost, ratio, capex, opex, including participation in the Budget discussion.
coordinate with senior management for consolidation of data, presentations, etc to be presented during the review meetings
KRA4 4. To review and monitor control systems in the units
Review of budgets & benchmarks: identify various challenges in achieving desired level of performance based on the roles.
KRA5 5. Partnering with the units for fund planning along with Financial Institutes.
Engage with banks for clarifications & justifications on various credit limits.
Cash flow Analysis and planning for future cash requirement in advance to plan the cash requirements/deployments of funds.
