Algorithmic Trading Developer / Systematic Strategy Researcher

Helix is building an AI powered platform for trading research and market analysis. We are looking for a technical collaborator who can turn trading ideas into clear, testable rules, develop systematic strategies and evaluate whether they remain robust beyond a backtest.
What you will work on
Translate trading concepts and recurring market patterns into precise entry, exit and risk rules.
Develop and backtest strategies using Python and relevant trading platforms.
Analyse performance across different market conditions, accounting for transaction costs, slippage and drawdowns.
Test strategies on out of sample data and investigate overfitting or look ahead bias.
Work with our team to connect strategy research with Helix’s market data, liquidity analysis and trading tools.
Document your methods and findings so results can be reproduced and reviewed.
What we are looking for
Strong programming skills in Python and hands on experience with systematic trading research.
A sound understanding of market data, backtesting and risk management.
Experience taking a strategy from an initial hypothesis through testing and live operation.
The ability to explain both promising results and the reasons a strategy may fail.
Experience with MQL5, MetaTrader 5, TradingView Pine Script, crypto markets or futures is welcome.
