Role Description The Student Intern role at Aatral ESP is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. Interns will support laboratory experiments related to sodium-ion battery materials, cell assembly, and performance testing under the guidance of senior researchers and engineers. Day-to-day tasks may include preparing samples, collecting and organizing experimental data, maintaining lab equipment, and following safety protocols. Interns will also help document procedures, contribute to basic analysis of results, and assist in preparing technical summaries or presentations. The role is designed to provide practical exposure to battery technology and electrochemistry while contributing to ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge in chemistry, materials science, physics, or electrical engineering, preferably with exposure to electrochemistry or energy storage concepts.
Ability to follow laboratory procedures, adhere to safety standards, and work with basic lab equipment and measurement tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to record observations accurately and perform basic data analysis.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to support documentation, reporting, and collaboration with team members.
Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate program; prior project or internship experience in batteries or related fields is an advantage.
Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
