Role Description The Video Editor Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting Laneway’s media and marketing initiatives through high-quality video content. Day-to-day tasks include editing raw footage into polished videos for social media, digital campaigns, and client presentations, as well as organizing assets and maintaining consistent branding across channels. The intern will assist with basic video production tasks, apply color grading, and incorporate motion graphics and simple visual elements as needed. Collaboration with the marketing and creative teams to refine concepts, follow creative briefs, and meet project timelines is expected. The role offers exposure to modern business and startup environments, providing opportunities to learn about content strategy, digital storytelling, and brand communication.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading and basic post-production workflows.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for simple visual enhancements.
Familiarity with common editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow creative direction, and commitment to meeting deadlines are important.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setup are required.
Interest in media, marketing, or business storytelling; prior portfolio or sample work is a plus.
Enrollment in or recent completion of a relevant program (e.g., film, media, design, communication) is advantageous but not mandatory.
