About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive – School Partnerships & K-12 Travel who has hands-on experience working with schools, school leadership, teachers, and education-sector decision-makers.
This is not a generic sales role. We are specifically looking for someone who understands the K-12 school ecosystem and has previously worked on school outreach, institutional sales, school partnerships, or educational travel programs.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying and approaching schools, establishing relationships with Principals, Vice Principals, Teachers, Activity Coordinators, Travel Coordinators, School Administrators, and other relevant travel decision-makers, and converting these relationships into business opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the K-12 travel segment or a closely related education-focused sales environment, with a proven understanding of how schools evaluate, plan, and execute student travel programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesSchool Outreach & Business Development
Identify and approach schools across assigned markets for potential partnerships.
Conduct regular outreach to schools through calls, emails, meetings, references, and other relevant channels.
Identify the appropriate decision-makers and travel-related Points of Contact within schools.
Build a strong database of schools, Principals, Teachers, Coordinators, Administrators, and relevant POCs.
Initiate conversations with schools and introduce Young Edsplorer's experiential learning and student travel programs.
Develop new school accounts and convert prospects into active business opportunities.
Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective schools and partnership opportunities.
Principal & Teacher Engagement
Establish and maintain professional relationships with Principals, Vice Principals, Teachers, Coordinators, and school management.
Conduct meetings and presentations with school stakeholders.
Understand the school's academic, experiential learning, and student travel requirements.
Communicate the educational value and structure of Young Edsplorer's programs.
Identify upcoming school travel requirements, annual calendars, excursions, educational tours, and international trip opportunities.
Maintain regular follow-ups with school stakeholders to develop long-term relationships.
K-12 Travel Sales
Understand the K-12 student travel ecosystem and the decision-making process within schools.
Identify schools planning domestic and international educational trips.
Understand the requirements of schools in terms of destinations, duration, student groups, learning objectives, budgets, and program structure.
Recommend suitable student travel and experiential learning programs based on school requirements.
Work towards converting school enquiries and leads into confirmed student travel programs.
Follow up consistently from the initial enquiry through proposal, negotiation, confirmation, and handover to operations.
School Partnership Development
Develop long-term partnerships with schools rather than focusing only on one-time transactions.
Identify opportunities for repeat trips, annual programs, international travel, experiential learning programs, and workshops.
Maintain strong relationships with existing school partners.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and introducing additional Young Edsplorer programs to existing schools.
Build a network of school contacts and decision-makers across assigned territories.
Sales & Conversion
Own the complete sales cycle from prospect identification to conversion.
Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective schools and relevant decision-makers.
Prepare and present proposals based on school requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams for itineraries, costing, program structures, and commercial proposals.
Negotiate with school stakeholders while maintaining commercial viability.
Close business opportunities and achieve assigned sales targets.
Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, follow-ups, proposals, and conversions.
Market & School Research
Research schools, school groups, educational institutions, and potential partners.
Identify relevant travel and activity POCs within schools.
Track school calendars, annual excursion cycles, and potential travel requirements.
Identify new markets and school clusters for business development.
Maintain updated information on school contacts and business opportunities.
Internal Coordination
Work closely with the Operations, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams.
Communicate school requirements accurately to the internal teams.
Coordinate the transition of confirmed business from sales to operations.
Ensure that commitments made to schools are clearly documented and communicated internally.
Support the team in delivering a seamless client experience.
Who We Are Looking For
We are specifically looking for candidates who have direct experience in school outreach and sales.
The ideal candidate should have:
Prior experience working with the K-12 school segment.
Hands-on experience conducting school outreach and institutional sales.
Experience contacting and communicating with Principals, Teachers, Coordinators, School Administrators, or Management.
Experience identifying and approaching the relevant travel or activity POCs within schools.
Experience selling educational travel, student travel, school excursions, experiential learning programs, or related services.
Existing understanding of how school travel decisions are made.
Experience in generating leads through direct school outreach.
Proven experience converting school leads into business.
Strong relationship-building skills with school stakeholders.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
A target-oriented approach with strong ownership of the sales cycle.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.
The candidate should be comfortable with:
Regular school visits and client meetings.
Meeting Principals, Teachers, Coordinators, and school management.
Frequent calling and outreach to schools.
Travelling for business development and client meetings as required.
Working towards defined sales and business development targets.
Managing multiple school accounts and prospects simultaneously.
