Role Description The Data Scientist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Canada. The Data Scientist will work closely with business and operations teams to analyze immigration and visa-related data, identify trends, and generate insights that improve service quality, client experience, and operational efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and structuring data from multiple sources; performing statistical analysis; building predictive and descriptive models; and developing dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical problems, presenting findings in a clear and actionable manner, and continuously refining models and reports based on feedback. The Data Scientist is expected to contribute to data-driven strategies that enhance process transparency, client outcomes, and organizational performance.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Science and Data Analytics to design, build, and evaluate models and analytical solutions.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Statistics and Data Analysis to interpret data accurately and draw meaningful conclusions.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Data Visualization to create clear, insightful dashboards and reports for non-technical stakeholders.
Candidates should possess experience with programming languages and tools commonly used in data science (such as Python or R, SQL, and relevant libraries).
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to communicate complex findings in simple terms.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field (such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with business, operations, or consulting teams to solve real-world problems using data is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with immigration or legal services domains is an advantage but not mandatory; willingness to learn domain-specific concepts is expected.
