We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Network Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our dynamic network operations team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, migration, and operational support of enterprise network infrastructures, with a strong focus on Software-Defined Networking (SD-WAN) and core routing and switching environments.
You will work in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and robust security across hybrid managed services operations.
Key Responsibilities
SD-WAN Deployment & Support: Lead the implementation, migration, and day-to-day operational support of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN / Versa SD-WAN environments.
Network Design & Operations: Maintain and troubleshoot L2/L3 network architectures, including VLANs, STP, VTP, Data Center Zones, VRF, and Virtual Routing concepts, alongside physical connectivity and cabling standards.
Switching Infrastructure Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus and Cisco Catalyst switches across enterprise deployments.
Performance & Fault Management: Utilize network performance monitoring, fault management, and capacity planning tools to proactively identify bottlenecks, resolve incidents, and ensure SLA compliance.
Multi-Vendor Support: Collaborate within a hybrid managed services model, troubleshooting complex issues spanning multi-vendor hardware and cloud-integrated network solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 6 years of dedicated hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and operations.
SD-WAN Expertise: Strong, hands-on operational experience and implementation background in Cisco Viptela SD-WAN or Versa SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela preferred).
Core Networking: Solid understanding of L2 network design and operations (VLANs, STP, VTP, Data Center Zones, VRF, physical cabling standards).
Hardware Proficiency: Proven configuration and troubleshooting experience with Cisco Nexus Switches and Cisco Catalyst Switches.
SDN Knowledge: Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of Next-Generation Software-Defined Networking solutions.
Tooling: Familiarity with network performance monitoring, fault management, and capacity management tools.
Environment: Prior exposure to multi-vendor network environments and hybrid managed service operations.
