About the Opportunity:
The CLINICAL ADMIN COORDINATOR role supports timely access to care by managing insurance verification and prior authorization processes. This position ensures efficient patient movement through intake and authorization stages while maintaining compliance with policies and payer requirements. The role contributes to customer satisfaction by facilitating communication among patients, payers, and clinical teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead insurance verification and prior authorization coordination.
Manage submission, notification, appeals, follow-up, and resolution of prior authorizations.
Ensure compliance with departmental policies and payer requirements during patient intake and authorization.
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
At least 18 years of age.
Experience in healthcare industry and health insurance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday, with flexible shifts between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm local time.
Ability to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years customer service experience.
Pharmacy and authorization experience.
Experience in hospital, physician's office, or medical clinic settings.
Experience making outbound calls to insurance companies.
Clerical or administrative support background.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
Telecommuting Requirements:
Secure handling of sensitive documents.
Dedicated private work area.
Access to approved high-speed internet.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $32.00 based on full-time employment and factors such as location, education, and experience.
