About the Opportunity:
The SOFTWARE ENGINEER II will focus on building and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs primarily using .NET Core and React. This role is key to developing robust backend solutions that support frontend applications and enhances productivity and code quality through the use of AI-assisted development tools. The position contributes to delivering technical solutions that improve educational technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET Core/.NET 5+.
Implement and consume APIs supporting React-based frontend applications.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests for backend and frontend components.
Query and manage data from SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience in backend development with .NET Core or .NET 5+.
4+ years experience in frontend development using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Proficient with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Experience writing unit tests and familiarity with common testing frameworks.
Proficiency with Git and standard version control workflows.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The base salary range for this position is $82,200 to $113,100, varying by experience and location.
