Role Description The Automation Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions that improve efficiency and reliability across systems and processes. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and developing scripts or tools to streamline repetitive tasks. The role involves creating and executing test cases, supporting quality assurance activities, and troubleshooting issues in automation pipelines and integrations. The Automation Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document solutions, and ensure that automation initiatives align with business objectives and technical standards. Continuous improvement, monitoring performance, and optimizing existing automations are key aspects of this position.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Process Automation and Automation skills to design, build, and maintain scalable automated workflows.
Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, resolve, and prevent issues in automation scripts, tools, and systems.
Candidates should possess experience with Test Cases and Quality Assurance to validate automation functionality, reliability, and performance.
Candidates should possess proficiency with common automation tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash), and integration frameworks.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on process optimization.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with distributed, cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Candidates should possess relevant experience in IT, software development, DevOps, or a related technical field; a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or similar discipline is beneficial.
