GCP DevOps Engineer

About Position:
We are looking for an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer with 6-8 years of hands-on expertise in building, deploying, automating, and managing scalable cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CI/CD implementation, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, automation, infrastructure as code, and DevOps best practices. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and improve system reliability, scalability, and security.

What You'll Do:
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
Automate application deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and operational processes.
Collaborate with development teams to build, package, and deploy cloud-native applications.
Manage and support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Implement deployment strategies such as Blue-Green, Canary, and Big Bang deployments.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell Scripting and PowerShell.
Integrate quality and security tools such as Veracode, Black Duck, SonarQube, Lighthouse, AppDynamics, and Cypress into CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor and troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
Provide ongoing build, release, and deployment support across environments.
Manage cloud infrastructure and services on Google Cloud Platform.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-hosted applications.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Support Agile teams throughout software development and release cycles.
Optimize operational processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain DevOps standards, governance, and best practices across projects.
Expertise You'll Bring:
6-8 years of experience in DevOps engineering and cloud infrastructure management.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native architectures.
Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and source control management.
Strong scripting experience using Shell Scripting and PowerShell.
Working knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.
Experience integrating DevSecOps and automated testing tools within CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience implementing deployment strategies including Blue-Green and Canary deployments.
Experience with Linux and Windows system administration and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other database technologies.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies and practices.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience developing automation frameworks and deployment pipelines.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Pipeline as Code concepts.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) is preferred.
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools including AppDynamics and related platforms.
Ability to learn emerging technologies and drive technical transformation initiatives.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
