Role Description The Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products before release. Day-to-day activities include designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, performing manual testing, and validating that features meet functional and non-functional requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand specifications, identify defects, and suggest improvements. The Quality Assurance Engineer will document test results, track issues in defect management tools, and contribute to refining testing standards and processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, a structured approach to testing, and a commitment to delivering stable, user-focused software.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing principles, including understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
Hands-on experience with Test Execution and working with structured Test Cases to verify software functionality.
Proficiency in Manual Testing techniques for web, mobile, or cloud-based applications.
Ability to identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Familiarity with basic test automation concepts or tools is beneficial.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret requirements and translate them into effective tests.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting test results and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in agile or iterative development environments is an advantage.
