About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic Product & Engineering team. This role primarily focuses on backend development but offers the flexibility to contribute across the entire technology stack. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with leadership, product managers, and designers to develop, enhance, and maintain our core platform, ensuring a seamless experience for our users. You will be instrumental in designing scalable backend services, optimizing database performance, and participating in infrastructure projects that support our rapid growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about building robust systems, enjoys solving complex problems, and thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Qualifications
Required:
Extensive experience in backend engineering, particularly with serverless architectures and cloud services.
Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or RDS, including data modeling, performance tuning, and migrations.
Strong knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS.
Solid understanding of backend system design principles and REST API development.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote startup environment.
Preferred
Frontend experience with React and Vite.
Backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Background in healthtech, biotech, or handling sensitive health data.
Previous experience working in startups or small teams, wearing multiple hats.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases that support our platform’s core functionalities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive full-stack features from conception to deployment.
Lead efforts to optimize database architecture, improve performance, and ensure system reliability and scalability.
Participate in DevOps activities, including setting up CI/CD pipelines, managing deployments, and monitoring system health.
Contribute to architectural decisions to support the evolution and scaling of our technology stack.
Work closely with product, design, and leadership teams to define requirements and deliver high-impact features that enhance user experience.
Maintain documentation of system architecture, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing across the team.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance system robustness and efficiency.
