Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Financial Accountant at Slate Brands. The Financial Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting activities, including preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements, supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes, and reconciling accounts. The role involves preparing financial reports and analyses for leadership, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining up-to-date records in accounting software. The Financial Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting, track brand performance, and provide insights that support strategic decision-making. Work accross all areas of finance from AR AP Projections documentation etc..
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Financial Reporting to support accurate, timely insights for business decisions.
Candidates should possess experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide clear recommendations.
Candidates should possess proficiency with Accounting Software and related tools to manage records and streamline reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of GAAP and experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
