Accounting Manager

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Accounting Manager at Slate Brands. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves leading the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and relevant regulations. The Accounting Manager will monitor fixed asset activity, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide analytical insights to finance and leadership teams. This position will also collaborate with cross-functional partners, assist with audits, and help improve accounting systems, controls, and processes to support a growing portfolio of brands.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills to support reporting, budgeting, and decision-making.
Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements, including preparation, review, and variance analysis.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger management.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus.
Experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, ideally in consumer goods, retail, or a multi-brand environment.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
