Role Overview:
The Regional VP of Marketing is responsible for the overall marketing strategy, brand building, customer acquisition/growth, and marketing team management for a specific region (e.g., North America, Europe). Typically reporting to the CEO, this role is one of the most senior positions within the regional marketing function.
Core Responsibilities
Regional Marketing Strategy
Formulate annual and medium-to-long-term regional marketing strategies
Adapt global marketing strategies to the local market environment
Identify key industries, customer segments, and market opportunities
Brand and Marketing Promotion
Oversee regional brand positioning and brand awareness building
Manage activities such as advertising, PR, content marketing, and digital marketing
Ensure regional marketing activities align with the global brand strategy
Customer Growth and Acquisition
Develop regional customer acquisition and growth plans
Collaborate with sales teams to improve lead conversion rates
Manage marketing channels, partnerships, and key account activities
Team Management
Manage regional marketing directors, senior directors, managers, and marketing teams
Establish the regional marketing organizational structure and talent framework
Set team goals, KPIs, and performance management mechanisms
Budget and Resource Management
Develop and manage the regional marketing budget
Allocate marketing resources across advertising, events, digital marketing, etc.
Evaluate the ROI of various marketing initiatives
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with sales, product, customer success, strategy, and finance departments
Relay market feedback to product teams and senior management
Participate in major corporate business strategies and regional business planning
Market Analysis
Analyze competitors, customer needs, and industry trends

Qualifications
Typically 20+ years of marketing experience
Experience in regional or global marketing management
Experience in sectors such as B2B, finance, technology, investment, or SaaS is common
Strong capabilities in strategic planning, branding, digital marketing, and growth
Experience managing large, cross-functional teams
Familiarity with regional market culture, customer behavior, and the business environment
Strong skills in data analysis, budget management, and business communication
English is usually the primary working language; multilingual capabilities may be required for cross-regional roles
