Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Laboratory Technician role based at our Chennai subsidiary Micro Genomics India (Pvt) Ltd. The Medical Laboratory Technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, process and analyze specimens, and operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established protocols. Responsibilities include preparing reagents and samples, recording and verifying test results, and ensuring proper documentation for regulatory and quality requirements. The role involves following standard operating procedures, supporting quality control and calibration activities, and reporting any irregularities or equipment issues to senior staff. The technician will collaborate with laboratory scientists and other team members to support efficient workflows and safe laboratory practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should have worked minimum 1 year in NGS Platform.
Candidates should possess core Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, test execution, and safe laboratory practices.
Bachelor’s degree or Master degree in Molecular Biology or Biotechnology.
Familiarity with laboratory safety guidelines, infection control, and biosafety procedures.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to follow written protocols.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Prior experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory is an advantage.
