About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Lead Developer to lead our development team and take ownership of the technical delivery of our products and projects.
The ideal candidate should combine strong software development expertise with technical leadership skills. You will work closely with developers, product teams, management, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions.
Technical Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of developers and provide day-to-day technical guidance.
- Take ownership of technical architecture and development decisions.
- Translate business and product requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Establish and maintain coding standards, development practices, and documentation.
- Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks where required.
Development & Architecture
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and systems.
- Participate actively in hands-on development for critical features and projects.
- Design solutions with scalability, performance, maintainability, and security in mind.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support the team in resolving blockers.
- Improve existing systems through refactoring, optimization, and automation.
Team Leadership
- Mentor developers and support their technical growth.
- Delegate development tasks based on team capabilities and project priorities.
- Support developers in resolving technical challenges.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration across the development team.
- Help identify skill gaps and training requirements within the team.
- Participate in technical interviews and hiring when required.
Project Delivery
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand project scope, requirements, priorities, and timelines.
- Break requirements into clear technical tasks and development milestones.
- Estimate development effort and support sprint/project planning.
- Track technical progress and proactively highlight delays, dependencies, or risks.
- Ensure projects and releases are delivered according to agreed timelines and quality standards.

- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, security, and documentation.
- Promote effective version control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Previous experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on programming and software engineering skills.
- Experience designing and developing scalable applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Experience with APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of Git and modern development workflows.
- Experience with code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of CI/CD and modern deployment practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Ability to lead and mentor developers while remaining hands-on technically.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with distributed or remote development teams.
