Role Description: The Senior Managing Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based abroad. This position oversees overall business strategy, operations, and performance, ensuring that immigration consulting services for Canada and Australia visas meet high standards of quality and compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting and monitoring business objectives, leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, and coordinating with senior stakeholders to drive growth and profitability. The Senior Managing Director will manage key client relationships, oversee complex cases, approve critical decisions, and ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical guidelines. This role also involves budgeting, resource planning, process improvement, and representing the firm in external meetings, partnerships, and industry events.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience in professional services, consulting, or a related industry, with a track record of managing teams and business operations.
Strong strategic planning and business management skills, including budgeting, performance monitoring, and process optimisation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities to handle high-value clients and external partners.
Understanding of immigration processes and regulatory frameworks for Canada and Australia (or willingness to rapidly acquire domain knowledge).
Proven ability to make data-informed decisions, manage risk, and maintain high standards of compliance and ethical practice.
Experience in building and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability.
A bachelor's degree in business, law, management, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in Bengaluru, with the ability to work full time and manage occasional extended hours based on business needs.
Proficiency with common business productivity tools and CRM or case management systems is beneficial.
