Role Description This full-time remote Technical Consultant role focuses on helping customers implement, configure, and optimize Taxcart’s global tax engine within their existing systems. On a day-to-day basis, the Technical Consultant collaborates with clients to understand business requirements, map tax workflows, and guide them through technical onboarding and integration. The role includes diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing ongoing product support, and documenting solutions and best practices. The Technical Consultant also partners with internal teams such as product, engineering, and sales to relay customer feedback, improve the platform, and assist in pre- and post-sales technical consultations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret tax rules, assess integration requirements, and analyze system behavior.
Candidates should possess Consulting skills to gather client requirements, design implementation plans, and advise on best practices for using Taxcart.
Candidates should possess Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide clear resolutions.
Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to support technical pre-sales discussions, demonstrate product capabilities, and build customer trust.
Experience with APIs, webhooks, ERP or e-commerce platforms, and system integrations is highly beneficial.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple customer engagements, and meet agreed timelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in tax technology, fintech, SaaS implementation, or similar technical consulting roles is a plus.
