The VP will combine strategic thinking, creative direction, market awareness, and commercial judgment to ensure the brand remains relevant and competitive as the organization grows.

• Identify emerging customer expectations, market trends, cultural shifts, and new opportunities that may influence brand strategy.
• Develop innovative brand concepts, initiatives, campaigns, and experiences that strengthen market differentiation.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing brand positioning and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Marketing leadership to translate brand strategy into integrated initiatives across relevant channels.
• Work closely with Product and Customer Experience teams to ensure brand strategy is reflected consistently throughout the customer journey.
• Develop new approaches to brand storytelling, messaging, positioning, and audience engagement.
• Conduct research into customer preferences, competitive positioning, industry trends, and emerging brand practices.
• Establish frameworks for evaluating new brand concepts and determining their strategic and commercial potential.
• Support the development of brand architecture, messaging frameworks, visual direction, and communication standards.
• Identify opportunities to expand brand awareness across new customer segments, markets, partnerships, and channels.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Partnerships teams on brand-related strategic initiatives and external opportunities.
• Work with internal stakeholders to maintain consistency between brand strategy, customer expectations, and business objectives.
• Monitor brand performance, market perception, customer feedback, and relevant competitive developments.
• Develop executive-level reporting and recommendations regarding brand performance and innovation priorities.
• Manage external agencies, creative partners, consultants, and other specialized resources when required.
• Establish processes that encourage continuous experimentation, evaluation, and improvement of brand initiatives.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing brand innovation team as organizational needs expand.
• Maintain a high standard of creativity, strategic discipline, consistency, and commercial judgment across all brand initiatives.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a senior brand leader who combines strategic brand expertise with creativity, commercial awareness, and strong execution capabilities. You should be comfortable developing new ideas while maintaining a clear connection between brand initiatives and broader business objectives.
The strongest candidates will typically have:
• 20+ years of progressive experience in brand management, brand strategy, marketing, creative strategy, communications, or related fields.
• Significant leadership experience overseeing brand strategy, brand development, marketing innovation, or related functions.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing differentiated brand strategies in competitive markets.
• Strong understanding of brand positioning, customer perception, audience development, messaging, and market differentiation.
• Experience identifying emerging trends and translating them into practical brand opportunities.
• Strong creative judgment combined with disciplined strategic and commercial thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex brand initiatives from concept through execution and evaluation.
• Experience collaborating closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Business Development, Customer Experience, and executive leadership.
• Strong understanding of customer behavior, market dynamics, competitive positioning, and evolving communication channels.
• Excellent presentation, communication, storytelling, and executive relationship-building skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• The ability to balance creativity and experimentation with consistency, governance, and measurable business objectives.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Design, or a related field required. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience in financial services, fintech, technology, payments, digital platforms, consumer brands, or other highly competitive industries is a plus.
We are also interested in candidates from established brands, technology companies, agencies, consulting firms, financial services organizations, consumer businesses, and high-growth companies with strong brand development functions.
