Senior Go Developer-Romania

We are looking for an experienced Senior Go Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-performance, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Golang, solid knowledge of backend development and distributed systems, and experience working with microservices and cloud-native technologies. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders to build robust and maintainable applications.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Go (Golang).
Build and maintain high-performance microservices and distributed systems.
Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
Work with databases and optimize queries and data access layers.
Integrate applications with external systems, APIs, and third-party services.
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Collaborate with DevOps engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Develop and maintain applications in cloud and containerized environments.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Contribute to technical documentation and engineering standards.
Work within an Agile development environment and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies.
Mentor less experienced developers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Must-Have Skills
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang).
Excellent understanding of Go concurrency, goroutines, channels, and synchronization mechanisms.
Strong knowledge of backend development and microservices architecture.
Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design.
Good knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
Experience with NoSQL databases is an advantage.
Strong experience with Git and modern software development practices.
Experience with automated testing and test-driven development practices.
Good understanding of software design patterns, clean code, and SOLID principles.
Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
