Senior Java Developer – German Speaking-Romania

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with German language skills to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to architectural and technical decisions. You will work closely with German-speaking stakeholders and colleagues to deliver innovative solutions that meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable Java applications.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, and other developers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Communicate effectively with German-speaking stakeholders and project teams.
Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge within the team.
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
Experience with relational databases and SQL.
Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies is an advantage.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
German language proficiency at B2 level or above.
Good command of English.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within an international team.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies.
Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular or React.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
Previous experience working with German clients or international teams.
