Role Description
We are looking for a Cyber Security Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.
The role is suitable for fresh graduates and technology professionals interested in cybersecurity, secure software development, application security, network security, vulnerability assessment, security automation, cloud security, threat detection, incident response, and modern software-engineering practices.
The Cyber Security Software Engineer will work closely with software, IT, infrastructure, data, operations, production, engineering, and other business teams to develop, test, integrate, secure, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve applications, APIs, networks, internal platforms, cloud environments, security tools, automation workflows, and enterprise systems.
The role may involve working with Python, Java, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Go, Bash, PowerShell, security testing tools, SIEM platforms, cloud environments, APIs, databases, Linux, Windows, container technologies, and modern cybersecurity and software-development tools depending on project and business requirements.
Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Security, Electronics, or a related discipline.
Freshers and experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates with 0–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, application security, security engineering, vulnerability assessment, SOC operations, network security, cloud security, DevSecOps, or related technology roles can apply.
Candidates currently working as Cyber Security Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, Security Software Engineer, Application Security Engineer, Information Security Engineer, Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, Cyber Security Analyst, Vulnerability Analyst, DevSecOps Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, Software Engineer, Associate Security Engineer, Graduate Software Engineer, or Junior Security Engineer are encouraged to apply.
Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, e-commerce, fintech, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
Basic to good knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals including threats, vulnerabilities, attack vectors, risk, security controls, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding.
Familiarity with secure software-development practices, input validation, session management, access control, data protection, and application-security concepts.
Basic understanding of OWASP Top 10, web application security, API security, secure SDLC, and common software vulnerabilities.
Exposure to SAST, DAST, software composition analysis, dependency scanning, code scanning, or vulnerability-management tools will be beneficial.
Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, or similar security tools will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Exposure to vulnerability assessment, penetration-testing concepts, remediation, security testing, or security reviews will be beneficial.
Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, routing, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, load balancers, and network-security controls.
Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments, system hardening, user permissions, security logs, configuration management, and operating-system security will be advantageous.
Exposure to SIEM and security-monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, ELK, or similar technologies will be considered an advantage.
Familiarity with SOC operations, alert investigation, incident response, threat detection, threat hunting, log analysis, digital forensics, or security monitoring will be beneficial.
Exposure to endpoint security, EDR, XDR, antivirus, malware detection, or endpoint-monitoring technologies will be advantageous.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, and API integration.
Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, or similar databases and database-security concepts will be beneficial.
Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IAM, cloud logging, cloud-security controls, encryption, security groups, firewalls, and cloud monitoring will be considered an advantage.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, container security, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, DevSecOps, infrastructure scanning, or secure deployment practices will be advantageous.
Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, RBAC, MFA, IAM, PAM, SSO, TLS, certificates, secrets management, key management, and identity-security concepts will be beneficial.
Exposure to ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, SOC 2, security policies, risk assessments, or compliance frameworks will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Exposure to security automation, Python scripting, log processing, API-based security integrations, or automated vulnerability-management workflows will be considered an additional advantage.
Familiarity with Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative software-development workflows.
Exposure to unit testing, integration testing, API testing, automated security testing, or software-quality practices will be beneficial.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, security documentation, requirements gathering, or issue tracking will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Good analytical, logical, debugging, investigative, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
Ability to understand technical and security requirements and contribute to practical, reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure software and infrastructure solutions.
Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
Internship, academic project, cybersecurity lab, CTF participation, security project, Python project, penetration-testing lab, network-security project, cloud-security project, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.
Candidates without previous full-time cybersecurity experience can also apply.
Strong willingness to learn new security tools, programming languages, cloud platforms, testing technologies, threat-detection techniques, and modern cybersecurity practices.
