About the Opportunity
We are hiring on behalf of our client, a full-service event management company that organises conferences and corporate events across India and overseas, from 500 to 15,000 attendees (client name confidential at this stage), for a Project Manager - Events & Conferences based in Delhi. About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for the smooth running, effective management, success and profitability of the events and conferences they own. You will ensure every service delivered meets the client's needs and that events run efficiently, striking the balance between customer satisfaction and sound business management - which in practice often means absorbing last-minute changes and solving problems as they arise.
The role also carries a business development dimension: planning ahead, managing future sales and marketing campaigns, and budgeting efficiently to maximise the income generated by the events under your management.

• Own the sales and marketing of conferences, events and accommodation, including pricing, image, brand, promotions and promotional material.
• Lead by example in maintaining service standards.
• Negotiate with external service providers and suppliers as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws and other legal regulations.
• Carry out day-to-day troubleshooting and address problems as they arise.
What We Are Looking For
• Proven experience managing events and conferences end to end.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial plans and profit targets.
• Confidence handling clients directly, including complaints and last-minute changes.
• Experience recruiting, training and monitoring a team.
• Strong negotiation skills with external vendors and service providers.
• Working knowledge of health and safety, licensing and other compliance requirements for events.
