Role Description
We are looking for an Associate Android Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.
The role is designed for fresh graduates and early-career technology professionals interested in Android application development, Kotlin, Java, mobile software engineering, REST APIs, local databases, Firebase, cloud services, application testing, and modern Android-development practices.
The Associate Android Software Engineer will work closely with software, IT, backend, data, analytics, operations, finance, production, supply chain, sales, and other business teams to develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Android applications, user interfaces, API integrations, internal platforms, enterprise applications, and digital solutions.
The role may involve working with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, XML, Jetpack components, REST APIs, Room, SQLite, Firebase, Git, testing tools, cloud platforms, and modern Android-development technologies depending on project and business requirements.
Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Electronics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Final-year students completing their degree and available for full-time employment may also apply.
Candidates with 0–2 years of experience in Android development, mobile application development, Kotlin development, Java development, software engineering, application development, or related technology roles can apply.
Candidates currently working as Associate Android Software Engineer, Android Software Engineer, Android Developer, Junior Android Developer, Mobile Software Engineer, Mobile Application Developer, Kotlin Developer, Java Android Developer, Associate Software Engineer, Graduate Software Engineer, Junior Software Engineer, or Application Developer are encouraged to apply.
Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, e-commerce, fintech, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
Basic to good knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java.
Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, exception handling, debugging, clean coding, and software-development fundamentals.
Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, emulators, device debugging, build processes, and Android-development environments.
Basic understanding of Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers, Intents, application lifecycle, permissions, and Android components.
Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, XML layouts, Material Design, responsive mobile interfaces, or similar UI-development technologies will be beneficial.
Exposure to Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation, WorkManager, DataStore, or similar libraries will be advantageous.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, authentication, authorization, API integration, and mobile-backend communication.
Familiarity with Retrofit, OkHttp, Ktor, Volley, or similar networking technologies will be beneficial.
Exposure to Room, SQLite, Firebase, Realm, or similar local and mobile databases will be advantageous.
Understanding of common Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, MVP, Clean Architecture, or similar approaches will be beneficial.
Exposure to Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, RxJava, asynchronous programming, background tasks, or concurrency concepts will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Familiarity with Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config, or similar services will be beneficial.
Familiarity with Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, debugging, and collaborative software-development workflows.
Exposure to JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, Robolectric, UI testing, unit testing, integration testing, or similar Android testing tools will be considered an advantage.
Basic understanding of mobile application performance, memory management, battery optimization, caching, offline functionality, and network optimization will be beneficial.
Exposure to Google Play Console, application signing, APK/AAB generation, release management, application publishing, or Play Store deployment will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Firebase, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Fastlane, or similar technologies will be considered an advantage.
Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, secure storage, encryption, role-based access, authentication, authorization, and Android application-security concepts will be beneficial.
Exposure to push notifications, deep links, maps, location services, camera integration, Bluetooth, NFC, sensors, or other Android-device capabilities will be considered an additional advantage.
Exposure to backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL, or NoSQL databases will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Familiarity with UI/UX principles, Material Design, Figma, design systems, wireframes, prototypes, and translating designs into functional Android interfaces will be advantageous.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, requirements gathering, sprint planning, or issue tracking will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
Ability to understand business and technical requirements and contribute to responsive, reliable, maintainable, secure, and user-friendly Android applications.
Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
Internship, academic project, Android project, Kotlin project, Java mobile project, Firebase project, mobile application, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.
Candidates without previous full-time Android-development experience can apply.
Strong willingness to learn new Android frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, testing tools, and modern mobile software-engineering practices.
