Inspection and Troubleshooting
Perform routine inspections of avionics systems, including radar, radio communication, navigation systems, and flight instruments.
Diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot electrical and electronic aircraft components and systems.
Maintenance and Repair
Repair or replace defective avionics system components, including wiring, sensors, antennas, and other related equipment.
Conduct functional testing following repairs to ensure systems operate correctly and meet performance requirements.
Perform software updates, equipment calibrations, and system adjustments as required.
Installation of New Systems
Install new or upgraded avionics equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and aviation regulatory requirements.
Configure and adjust avionics systems to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality.
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records for each aircraft, including completed work, inspections, testing results, and replaced components.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable aviation safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
Pre-Flight Testing and Verification
Collaborate with pilots and maintenance personnel to perform pre-flight testing of avionics systems, ensuring aircraft safety, reliability, and optimal performance.
Keeping Current with Technological Advancements
Stay informed of emerging technologies, industry developments, and avionics equipment updates to maintain aircraft at the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
College Diploma (DEC) in Avionics or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Minimum of five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience;
ACA TE;
Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and Airport Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP), required;
Knowledge of AMOS maintenance software;
Airbus A330 and/or A320 Family endorsement considered an asset;
Demonstrated avionics maintenance and troubleshooting skills;
Strong teamwork, resourcefulness, and initiative;
Bilingualism (English and French)*.
