Partner AI Deployment Engineer - AWS

The AI Deployment Engineering team at OpenAI is seeking a Partner AI Deployment Engineer focused on AWS to serve as a senior technical leader and advisor. This role is central to OpenAI's strategic partnership with AWS, driving joint customer success and enabling the AWS ecosystem to scale the adoption of OpenAI-powered solutions. You will operate at the intersection of pre- and post-sales, guiding complex enterprise customers from ideation to production-scale deployment.
Responsibilities
Strategic AWS Engagement: Act as the primary technical counterpart to AWS field leadership, influencing joint account strategy and defining engagement models.
Deal Leadership: Lead technical strategy for high-stakes enterprise engagements, acting as a decision-maker and escalation point to de-risk implementations.
Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end AI architectures using OpenAI and AWS services, building prototypes, POCs, and reference implementations.
Ecosystem Enablement: Develop scalable technical assets, workshops, and playbooks to enable AWS teams and partners to drive deployments independently.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge the gap between field insights and product roadmaps, contributing to internal standards and knowledge systems.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in technical consulting or an equivalent role, with a proven track record of managing C-level technical and business relationships.
Ability to operate as a systems thinker and technical leader, balancing hands-on building with strategic influence.
Strong judgment in prioritizing opportunities and allocating technical resources.
Ability to build trust quickly with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and executives.
Experience in creating repeatable patterns and scalable solutions rather than one-off implementations.
Comfort with ambiguity and high-visibility problem spaces.
This position is based in India, with availability in Bangalore, Mumbai, or Delhi.
