Position description: To manage the procurement of tower internal components and bought-out (BO) items required for tower manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for ensuring timely availability of materials, optimizing procurement costs, managing supplier performance, and supporting uninterrupted production while adhering to quality, delivery, and compliance requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage procurement of internal items and bought‑out (BO) components required for tower manufacturing operations.
Ensure timely availability of internal fittings, sub‑assemblies, and BO items such as ladders, platforms, earthing materials, cable trays, and accessories.
Coordinate with Tower ME (BOM & Operations), PPC, Production, and Stores teams to plan requirements based on BOMs and production schedules.
Raise, track, and control purchase requisitions and purchase orders as per approved specifications, quantities, and lead times.
Ensure procurement compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, approved vendor lists, and quality standards.
Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality, responsiveness, and adherence to contractual terms.
Address shortages, non‑conformities, and procurement escalations in coordination with supplier quality and operations teams.
Drive cost optimization through alternate sourcing, rate contracts, vendor rationalization, and standardization initiatives.
Maintain procurement MIS, consumption trends, and inventory support data for leadership review.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to procurement governance.
Additional Responsibilities:
Prior experience in tower internals / BO procurement or heavy fabrication procurement preferred.
Role requires close coordination with ME, production, quality, and stores teams.
Candidate should demonstrate strong ownership, cost discipline, and compliance‑driven mindset.
Required Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement processes for internals and BO items in tower or heavy manufacturing environments.
Understanding of tower internals, BO components, specifications, and installation requirements.
Experience in vendor management, PO execution, follow‑ups, and commercial coordination.
Proficiency in ERP/SAP (MM module) and MS Excel for tracking and reporting.
Basic understanding of quality requirements, inspection processes, and technical documentation.
Strong coordination, negotiation, and execution skills.
