About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a Fixed Asset Management System.
The role involves collecting, verifying, organizing, and maintaining fixed asset information from different departments and locations. The candidate will work extensively with Excel and the Fixed Asset Management System to ensure that asset records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
This is an on-site, data-focused role suitable for candidates who are comfortable working with large volumes of information and coordinating with different teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collect fixed asset data from various departments and locations.
Enter and maintain asset information in the Fixed Asset Management System.
Prepare, clean, validate, and upload asset data using Microsoft Excel.
Maintain details such as Asset ID, category, description, make/model, serial number, location, department, custodian, purchase details, status, etc.
Verify physical asset information against available records.
Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect asset records and coordinate for corrections.
Assist with asset tagging, barcode/QR code mapping, and physical verification activities.
Update asset movements, transfers, assignments, returns, and status changes.
Maintain supporting documents and digital records related to assets.
Coordinate with internal teams and location representatives for data collection and validation.
Generate basic asset reports and reconciliation statements.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of organizational asset data.
Support the project/implementation team during Fixed Asset Management System rollout.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formatting, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and basic formulas.
Good typing speed with high data accuracy.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle and organize large volumes of data.
Basic understanding of computer applications and web-based software.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to independently follow up with teams for missing information.
Willingness to perform physical asset verification when required.
Qualification & Experience
Graduate in any discipline.
0–3 years of experience in data entry, MIS, inventory, asset management, administration, back-office operations, or a similar role.
Freshers with strong Excel skills and attention to detail may also apply.
Previous exposure to Fixed Asset Management, Inventory Management, ERP, or Asset Tracking systems will be an advantage.
