Role Description The Senior Fitter role is a full-time, on-site position based at Dhampur Bio Organic in Asmoli, Sambhal district. The Senior Fitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment, machinery, and piping systems used in the production process. Daily activities include diagnosing mechanical faults, performing routine inspections, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring minimal downtime of equipment. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with operators and supervisors, and maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used. The Senior Fitter will also support safety practices, guide junior fitters or helpers, and collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong mechanical fitting skills, including assembly, installation, and alignment of machinery and related components.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing plant environment.
Knowledge of safe work practices, use of hand and power tools, and adherence to workplace safety standards.
Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues under time constraints.
Minimum of a relevant technical qualification (e.g., ITI or diploma in Fitter/Mechanical) from a recognized institution.
Prior experience as a fitter, preferably in a senior or lead role within an industrial or process plant.
Ability to work in shifts, handle physically demanding tasks, and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
Basic communication skills in Hindi; ability to maintain simple written records and logbooks.
