Remote Junior Email Security Analyst — AED 8,000–12,000 per month

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Junior Email Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team.
In this role, you’ll help protect company email systems from phishing, spam, impersonation attacks, malicious attachments, and other email-based threats. You’ll work alongside experienced IT and security professionals to review alerts, investigate suspicious messages, and support improvements to email security controls.

Previous professional cybersecurity experience is not required. Candidates with basic IT knowledge, relevant training, personal projects, or a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

## Key Responsibilities
* Assist with monitoring email security alerts and suspicious messages.
* Help investigate potential phishing, spoofing, and business email compromise attempts.
* Review reported emails and escalate potential threats to senior analysts.
* Support the maintenance of email filtering and anti-phishing controls.
* Help identify malicious links, suspicious attachments, and unusual sender behavior.
* Assist with reviewing email authentication configurations, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
* Document investigation findings and maintain accurate incident records.
* Support employee awareness initiatives related to email security.
* Collaborate with IT teams to improve email protection and response procedures.
* Stay informed about emerging email threats and common social engineering techniques.
## Candidate Requirements
* Basic understanding of IT systems, email services, and cybersecurity concepts.
* Interest in phishing detection, email protection, and threat prevention.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Good written communication and documentation abilities.
* Ability to research suspicious activity and follow established procedures.
* Willingness to learn security tools and investigation techniques.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team.
* Commitment to confidentiality and responsible handling of sensitive information.
The following are advantageous but not mandatory:
* A degree or diploma in IT, computer science, networking, or cybersecurity.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, or Google Workspace.
* Basic knowledge of email headers, DNS records, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
* Exposure to phishing reporting tools or email security gateways.
* CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, or similar foundational training.
* Experience with IT support, email administration, online labs, or personal cybersecurity projects.
