Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Sheet Metal Design and mechanical design tools. The ideal candidate should have experience in automation systems, Special Purpose Machines (SPM), machine design, and assembly-line automation within the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop automation systems, machinery, and equipment to improve production efficiency.
Create detailed technical drawings, 2D drawings, 3D models, and assembly layouts.
Work on sheet metal design and fabrication-related requirements.
Support the design and development of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automated assembly lines.
Coordinate machine assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Collaborate with production, quality, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, BOMs, and design specifications.
Lead and coordinate the manufacturing/design team, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
Identify opportunities for design improvements and process optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, automation, or manufacturing.
Mandatory: Hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks; candidates should have strong proficiency in at least 1–2 of these tools.
Experience in industrial automation, machine design, SPM, or assembly-line automation.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical assemblies, and fabrication.
Experience in team coordination, project execution, or technical leadership is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
