Company Description
Financial Solutions Services (FSS) is a loan recovery and credit operations company that helps financial institutions manage risk and improve portfolio performance. We use data-driven strategies to optimize recovery processes and support sound credit decisions. We partner with clients to design efficient, compliant workflows that enhance transparency and operational control. Our team works in a dynamic environment that values analytical thinking, integrity, and continuous improvement, and we use technology and data to build reliable, scalable solutions for the financial services sector.
Role Description
We’re hiring a Data Engineer who is as much a strategist and analyst as an engineer. You will design, build, and maintain the data pipelines behind our loan recovery, credit operations, and business analytics, and you will decide what should be built and why, not just how.
Day to day, you will:
Develop and optimize ETL processes and implement data models and warehouse structures
Ensure data quality, security, and reliability across systems
Work with analysts and business stakeholders to define data requirements, enable reporting and dashboards, and make data more accessible for decisions
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and document technical solutions and standards
Embed data structures directly into the software and SaaS products we’ve built, working in Next.js, JavaScript, and Node
This is a full-time remote role.
What Sets This Role Apart
Strategy comes first. We want the sharpest strategist and analyst on the team who is also an excellent engineer. You will shape priorities, spot opportunities in the data, and tie every pipeline to business outcomes.
You will build into our products. Your work won’t stop at the warehouse. You will integrate data structures into our own software and SaaS platforms, so fluency in Next.js, JavaScript, and Node is a major advantage.
Qualifications
Strong data engineering skills, including building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
Data modeling and data warehousing skills to design efficient schemas and storage solutions
ETL experience integrating data from multiple sources while ensuring consistency
Data analytics skills to support reporting, insight generation, and performance measurement
Proficiency in SQL and at least one data engineering language (such as Python or Scala)
Strongly preferred: Next.js, JavaScript, and Node experience
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar) is beneficial
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in financial services is advantageous
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities
