The Qualifications We Seek
Education and Professional Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering or a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
At least 3 years of production-level Python development experience using modern web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask
Technical Skills and Expertise
Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
Experience with background job processing and task queues, such as Celery or similar technologies
In-depth knowledge of automated testing frameworks, including pytest or equivalent tools
Proficiency in Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration
Working knowledge of frontend development technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
Professional Skills and Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective technical solutions
Self-motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a software development team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in frontend application development using React and TypeScript
Experience in application deployment and operations using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Your Daily Tasks
Essential Duties
Develop new application features based on the product roadmap using efficient, well-structured Python code and established software design patterns.
Maintain and enhance existing application code, automated tests, and software functionality.
Develop and integrate applications with multiple third-party RESTful APIs.
Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale software solutions aligned with organizational strategies and business objectives.
Apply modern software development principles, methodologies, tools, and processes to support new business capabilities.
Collaborate with software development teams to define technical specifications and requirements for new applications.
Write clean, high-quality, well-documented code to deliver complete applications within established timelines.
Perform unit and integration tests before application deployment.
Evaluate application functionality, performance, and reliability to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Conduct software design and code reviews to maintain technical accuracy, code quality, and development best practices.
Integrate software applications with third-party products and existing IT infrastructure.
Maintain and expand technical expertise in emerging technologies, software products, and application versions.
Review business requirements and data models, and translate them into reliable applications and scalable software architectures.
