Role Description The IoT Solutions Engineer – Energy Solutions is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing IoT-based energy monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions for industrial clients. The IoT Solutions Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, integrate hardware and software components, and ensure reliable deployment in manufacturing environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and testing IoT platforms, analyzing data for energy efficiency and asset performance, preparing technical documentation, and supporting presales activities through solution demonstrations and technical consultations. The role also includes working closely with sales and consulting teams to tailor solutions, provide post-deployment support, and contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development skills, including experience with IoT platforms, APIs, and relevant programming languages.
Consulting capabilities to understand client requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and provide expert guidance on energy and predictive maintenance use cases.
Sales and Presales experience in supporting opportunity qualification, preparing solution proposals, delivering technical presentations, and participating in client meetings.
Integration skills for connecting sensors, gateways, industrial systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA), and cloud platforms into cohesive IoT solutions.
Experience - 4-8 years
Relevant experience in industrial IoT, energy management, or manufacturing operations, with familiarity in condition monitoring and predictive analytics.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; advanced certifications in IoT, industrial automation, or energy systems are an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data interpretation and troubleshooting complex systems.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with clients and cross-functional teams.
