Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing electrical systems and power distribution setups for Industrial IoT and predictive maintenance solutions. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed electrical schematics, selecting components, performing load calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and operations, to integrate electrical designs into complete solutions and support installation, testing, and commissioning. The role also involves troubleshooting electrical issues, contributing to design improvements, and mentoring junior engineers.
Qualifications
Strong capabilities in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for industrial and commercial applications.
Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering and practical understanding of Electricity principles.
Experience with Power Distribution systems, including load analysis, protection schemes, and safety standards.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in electrical design engineering, preferably in industrial or IoT-related projects.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IS standards) and common electrical design tools/CAD software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and reliability.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Experience in condition monitoring, automation, or Industrial IoT environments is an advantage.
