Senior Amazon Connect & AWS Serverless Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Amazon Connect & AWS Serverless Engineer to design, build, and support cloud-native customer experience solutions. This role requires strong expertise in Amazon Connect, AWS serverless services, and Infrastructure as Code, with a focus on delivering scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions for enterprise clients across Europe.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and support Amazon Connect solutions and integrations.
Develop serverless applications using Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB.
Create and maintain reusable infrastructure using AWS CDK (preferred), CloudFormation, or Terraform.
Develop APIs, workflows, and integrations using TypeScript, Python, or Node.js.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.
Monitor and troubleshoot production environments using CloudWatch and observability best practices.
Participate in client workshops, design reviews, deployments, and production support activities.
Document architectures, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in software, cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect, including contact flows, routing, and Lambda integrations.
Strong experience with AWS serverless architectures, including:
Lambda
API Gateway
EventBridge
Step Functions
IAM
CloudWatch
Experience with AWS CDK or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or Node.js.
Experience with event-driven architectures, APIs, asynchronous processing, and production support.
Experience building and supporting solutions through CI/CD pipelines and release management.
Strong written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Secrets Manager, and AWS Organizations.
Knowledge of Amazon Connect features such as Cases, Tasks, Customer Profiles, Contact Lens, and Streams API.
Experience integrating with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Genesys, Cisco, Avaya, or similar platforms.
Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Jest, Vitest, Playwright, or Pytest.
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps, Security, etc.).
