Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Python SDET with 9+ years of hands-on experience to lead and architect our automated testing strategy. In this role, you will design robust, scalable automation frameworks from scratch, drive API and UI testing, integrate continuous testing into our CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior quality engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Framework Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks using Python (PyTest, Robot Framework, or unittest).
API & UI Testing: Automate backend microservices/REST APIs (using requests, REST Assured equivalents) and web/mobile frontends (Selenium, Playwright, or Appium).
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD build pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for continuous feedback. Quality & Performance:
Partner with developers to analyze code coverage, perform root-cause analysis, and write performance/load test scripts (Locust, JMeter).
Leadership & Mentorship: Drive test strategies, review automation code, and guide junior test engineers on best practices and design patterns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
9+ years of experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer with a heavy focus on Python.
Core Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in Python, PyTest/Unittest, and automated testing tools (Playwright/Selenium for UI, Requests/Aiohttp for API).CI/CD & DevOps:
Hands-on experience with Jenkins/GitLab CI, Docker, Linux, and Git branching workflows.
Databases: Strong SQL proficiency for data validation and backend verification.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication, and proven leadership in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with BDD frameworks (Behave) or performance testing tools (Locust). Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized test execution.
