Operations Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking a Manager – Operations who is ready for the next step up — someone who can own event projects end to end, lead a team on the ground, and be the person the client and the crew both look to when the show is live.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently handle event projects with end-to-end planning and executionOwn the full gamut of event operations — estimate preparation, vendor selection and negotiationsExecute the client brief on ground exactly as per agreed deliverablesBuild event budgets, plans of action and timelines; drive creative supervision and quality controlAssign roles and responsibilities across the team, take regular updates and keep the project on trackManage event-specific risk and troubleshoot problems before they reach the clientSecure venues, conduct recces, plan costing, and manage setup, stage, décor and event flowHandle guest relations, promoters and day-of client queries so the event runs seamlesslyManage sound, light and AV vendors with hands-on technical understanding of eachOperate the console and manage show flow independentlyDevelop and manage relationships with internal and external suppliersBuild a working policy for handling and analysing third-party costs and submissions to reduce overheadsOwn event budgeting and maintain event P&LLead and manage a team; mentor junior members and hold them to delivery standardsManage day-to-day operations and back-office coordination alongside live projectsRequirementsMinimum 5+ years of experience in event operations, ideally with an events or brand activations agencyProven ability to run projects independently, from estimate to executionStrong technical knowledge of sound, light and AV; comfortable handling the consoleSound commercial sense — budgeting, negotiation, cost control and P&L ownershipGenuine team leadership ability, not just task managementHigh on integrity and valuesGraduate / Post Graduate in any fieldWorking knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Location & Work ModeOn-site role based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
