About The Role
HCLTech is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with experience in ReactJS and PHP to design, develop, and maintain production-quality software for AI/ML-powered legal operations. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to user-facing applications, backend services, microservices, and supporting system components. You will work closely with machine learning engineers and legal domain experts to translate product and operational requirements into dependable software. The work calls for strong backend engineering skills, practical AI/ML experience, and a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. You will help shape solutions from development through testing and deployment, balancing usability, performance, maintainability, and reliability.
Qualifications
Candidates should have professional software development experience building full-stack applications, with hands-on knowledge of ReactJS and PHP. Experience developing backend components or microservices using Python, Hack, or PHP is relevant to this role. You should bring practical experience working with AI/ML systems or integrating software with machine learning capabilities, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and non-engineering stakeholders. A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and core software engineering principles is essential. The ideal candidate can assess technical trade-offs, write clear and maintainable code, and investigate issues methodically. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are important, along with the ability to adapt as product needs and technical priorities evolve.
Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and maintain production-quality full-stack software for legal operations systems. Develop responsive and accessible user experiences with ReactJS, and create backend services, APIs, microservices, and other system components using appropriate technologies, including PHP, Hack, or Python. Collaborate with machine learning engineers to integrate AI/ML capabilities into reliable applications, and work with legal domain experts to understand workflows and translate requirements into technical solutions. Apply sound engineering practices to improve code quality, system performance, security, and maintainability. Participate in technical design discussions, evaluate implementation options, and help ensure that services can scale as usage and requirements change. Troubleshoot defects, investigate production issues, and contribute to effective testing and documentation. Coordinate with teammates across disciplines, communicate progress and risks, and take ownership of assigned work from initial development through delivery and ongoing improvement.
