Senior Full Stack Developer

We're a small, fast-moving team, and our work has grown in scope and complexity. We need a strong individual contributor who genuinely understands React architecture, can design and build backend services, and make sound technical decisions without hand-holding. You'll own meaningful pieces of the stack end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
Designing and building features end-to-end across the LAEP+ stack.
Building and maintaining Python Lambda-based backend services.
Working with geospatial data at scale, rendering on the frontend, and processing on the backend.
Upholding standards for performance, maintainability, and observability.
Requirements:
Strong, demonstrable React experience hooks, rendering model, component architecture, the works.
Experience working in and navigating large, established codebases.
Experience with a modern state management approach (Zustand, Jotai, Redux Toolkit, or similar).
Backend experience in Python REST APIs, data processing, and service design.
Experience with Postgres / PostGIS.
Experience with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, S3).
A track record of making and owning architecture decisions across the stack.
Experience with observability and performance monitoring (Sentry, Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent).
Nice to Have:
Experience in GIS or spatial data visualisation (deck.gl, Mapbox, Leaflet).
Codebase refactoring experience.
Design sensibility, you know when something feels wrong before you can articulate why.
Experience working within a team on shared codebases.
Genuine curiosity about new technology.
