Role Description The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Day-to-day activities include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, implementing security measures, and supporting users with network-related problems. The role involves documenting network configurations, assisting with upgrades and migrations, and collaborating with other IT team members to ensure reliable, secure service delivery. This is a contract, on-site role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, requiring consistent presence at client or company facilities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
Candidates should possess skills in implementing and managing network security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
Candidates should possess skills in network monitoring, performance analysis, and capacity planning using standard tools and methodologies.
Candidates should possess skills in documenting network architectures, maintaining configuration records, and following change management procedures.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent are beneficial, along with experience in corporate or enterprise IT environments.
Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, clear communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams on-site.
A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
