Role Description The Technical Power Quality Engineer will work on-site in the Pune Division in a full-time capacity, focusing on assessing and improving power quality in industrial and commercial facilities. Responsibilities include conducting site audits, power quality measurements, and diagnostics; analyzing issues such as harmonics, voltage sags, surges, and imbalances; and recommending corrective measures and system upgrades. The role involves collaborating with design and manufacturing teams on custom control and process panels, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and ensuring solutions align with regulatory and utility standards. The engineer will prepare technical reports, root cause analyses, and documentation for clients, and provide guidance to operations teams on maintaining optimal electrical performance. The position requires close coordination with project managers and client stakeholders to deliver reliable, energy-efficient, and financially impactful engineering outcomes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills for evaluating and improving electrical systems and engineered solutions.
Candidates should possess robust Quality Auditing and Quality Management skills to design, implement, and monitor quality processes across projects.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for diagnosing power quality issues, interpreting measurements, and developing data-driven solutions.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; postgraduate specialization in power systems or power quality is an advantage.
Experience with power quality analyzers, energy management systems, and industrial electrical networks, including LV/MV systems, protective devices, and control panels.
Familiarity with national grid codes, safety standards, and local utility regulations; ability to apply these in design and commissioning activities.
Strong communication and reporting skills, including the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Proactive approach to problem-solving, willingness to work on-site at customer facilities, and readiness to travel within the region
